Before the Baby

Choosing the right pediatrician is an important decision. After all, they will play an important part in your family for many years to come. Before choosing, you can make a prenatal appointment.

The American Academy of Pediatrics endorses a prenatal visit as a valuable part of pediatric care. Objectives for this visit include:

  • Establishing a relationship between physician and parents
  • Gathering important information about the pregnancy and parental concerns
  • Providing information and advice to the parents
  • Building parenting skills for mothers and fathers
  • Identifying high-risk situations
  • Please call and make an appointment with one of our doctors for a prenatal visit. At this appointment we can go over all of your concerns and questions. We currently see newborns at Seton Hospital and St. David’s Hospital. However, if you deliver at a different hospital, we will be happy to see you at follow-up after you are discharged.
