Melody Cassels, MD

A native Texan, Dr. Cassels graduated from Texas A&M University in the university honors program. She holds her medical degree from McGovern Medical School in Houston and finished her medical training in Phoenix, Arizona mostly at Phoenix Children's Hospital and Banner Good Samaritan Hospital. She completed a dual-specialty residency allowing her to practice in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Cassels is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is active in multiple medical societies.

Dr. Cassels has been practicing at Austex Pediatrics since 2008.  She has done interviews with KUT and KVUE news on topics relating to pediatrics and has been honored with being listed in the Super Doctors Rising Stars and Super Doctors in Texas Monthly multiple times as well as Austin Monthly's "Top Docs for Kids".  She feels she was born to be a pediatrician and loves working with families in the health and development of their children.  In her free time, she enjoys working out, gardening and spending time with her husband and three children.  Since her oldest child has Angelman Syndrome,  she also has a special interest in working with families with special needs children.

Wesley Glazener, MD

Dr. Glazener is a native of Austin. He graduated from Baylor University and completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed his internship and residency at the same program and served an additional year as Chief Resident.

 

Dr. Glazener began practice in 1992 in Round Rock.  After eight years, he moved to a solo practice in Austin from 2001 to 2014 before joining Austex Pediatrics in 2015.  He is a board certified pediatrician and has served in leadership positions in Round Rock and other Austin hospitals. Dr. Glazener is married with 3 adult children. When not in the office, he enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, sailing and live music.  Also, don't forget to ask him about his bees...

Taylor Beall, MD

Dr. Beall is from Oklahoma, but has slowly become a Texan over the last decade.  She graduated from Baylor University in Waco and attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Beall completed her pediatrics residency at Texas Children's Hospital and is a board certified pediatrician. 

She has a passion for pediatrics and working with families.  Being a new parent herself, she looks forward to working with other families on their journey into parenthood!  

Outside of clinic, she loves hiking the greenbelt with her dog and family, cooking new recipes, and participating in her church. 

She looks forward to seeing her first patients at Austex Pediatrics on September 1!
