Melody Cassels, MD
A native Texan, Dr. Cassels graduated from Texas A&M University Magna Cum Laude in the university honors program. She holds her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and finished her medical training in Phoenix, Arizona mostly at Phoenix Children's Hospital and Banner Good Samaritan Hospital. She completed a dual-specialty residency allowing her to practice in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Cassels is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is active in multiple medical societies.
Dr. Cassels has been practicing at Austex Pediatrics since 2008. She has done interviews with KUT and KVUE news on topics relating to pediatrics and has been honored with being listed in the Super Doctors Rising Stars in Texas Monthly multiple times. She enjoys the bonds that being a primary care provider allows. In her free time, she enjoys working out, gardening and spending time with her husband and three children. Since her oldest child has Angelman Syndrome, she also has a special interest in working with families with special needs children.
Wesley Glazener, MD
Dr. Glazener is a native of Austin. He graduated from Baylor University and completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He completed his internship and residency at the same program and served an additional year as Chief Resident.
Dr. Glazener began practice in 1992 in Round Rock. After eight years, he moved to a solo practice in Austin from 2001 to 2014 before joining Austex Pediatrics in 2015. He is a board certified pediatrician and has served in leadership positions in Round Rock and other Austin hospitals. Dr. Glazener is married with 3 adult children. When not in the office, he enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, sailing and live music. Also, don't forget to ask him about his bees...
Kendall Burns, DO
Dr Burns is excited to be back in Austin. She grew up in this wonderful city and graduated from both Westlake high school and The University of Texas. During her medical school years in Fort Worth and her residency in Missouri, she participated in multiple mission trips to Central America and has a passion for providing medical care to pediatric patients across the globe. During residency she participated in an extra track that included a global health certificate.
In her free time, she enjoys participating in activities with her church and going to football games.
